Japanese WW2 Soldier

I have to say, I've always considered myself to have terrible timing in life... From work to women to anything, I just always seem to pick the perfect wrong moment to make my move.

Like slowly buliding up a selection of War themed Comic Book Art for posting online just as the biggest conflict in European history since the second World War kicks off.

But for those ok to continue (although no one would blame anyone who's seen enough War over the last few days for passing on today's post), I do have a Japanese WW2 soldier drawing to share.

I'm actually kind of proud of this one. I set myself the task of depicting a realistic looking Asian character with this sketch and was happy with the result. He's one of my favourite Soldiers I've drawn so far.

Who, I Ask You?

What maniac would leave his workspace covered in Jelly Babies?

Who indeed...?

After The Storm.

One thing I can now tick off my 'Bucket-List' is seeing a massive Tree fall over in real time in real life thanks to Storm Eunice after witnessing one toppling behind my back-garden fence yesterday.

I was really surprises how quickly it all happened. First there was a loud fast cracking sound like a Shotgun blast going off, and before it had even finishes, the tree was slamming into the ground taking other smaller trees with it. It was pretty terrifying.

One big concern I do have now is how badly hit was local wildlife after yesterday troubles... I'm a little worried for the Squirrel (and his buddies) from my recent post and hope they weren't living in that particular tree and got to safety. As well as a Fox family that also lives in that area who I hope weren't crushed in their Den when the tree came down. I've been keeping an eye out for them, but haven't seen or heard anything from the little critters that live behind my fence yet, which is making me feel a little nervous.

I also hope any fellow UK readers are doing ok, and didn't suffer too much yesterday?

For some reason my windows are filthy now. Eunice must have been one dirty storm.

Soviet Servicewoman.

I have drawn female Servicewomen before (although I'm blanking on if I actually posted any on this blog...), so with that in mind, today, here's my take on a Russian World War 2 female soldier.

I was kind of happy with the 'bookish' look I got going on with this character. Like maybe she was an Academic before the start of the war or something and now she's having to fight hard for the Motherland.

Single And Undead On Valentine's Day.

Being Undead and Single can be rough at any time of year, but somehow it just seems to be tougher around Valentine's Day.

As an Undead Ghoul, 'Gerry The Zombie' is around other Walkers every day, but somehow still feels very alone and would like to find and get into an intense relationship with the right Human.

For those interested... Gerry has all his own hair and teeth (which is pretty good for a Zombie). He enjoys 'Eating Out' although is happy to eat (people) indoors as well. He's also not a jealous lover and very open minded and is happy to share you with other Zombies (it's kind of the Zombie way).

Would like to meet: Slow people, or people who always twist their ankles when they're running away from things. People with very big juicy Brains or a lot of 'Junk in the Trunk'.

If you are intrigued by the encloses photo and would like to 'Swipe Right' on Gerry, he can be found at the Graveyard most days stumbling among the Tombstones.

If dating the living has left you feeling unfulfilled lately, why not consider 'Going Ghoul' this Valentine's Day.

War Booty.

I've been using the excuse of Christmas and my recent Birthday to stock up on some War Comics and Movies for the year ahead.

Here's my 'stash' of current goodies waiting to be watched or read in 2022.

I hope to share some more of my own War themed Art very soon as well, so watch this space.
