Windy Squirrel Action.

My Camera is incredibly poor at catching things farther than ten-feet away. It takes nice mid-range photos, and OK close-ups shots, but anything that needs to be zoomed in on always comes out looking really poor. The photos look like two pixels rubbing together, they're so basic and dull.

But for those that are willing to overlook low picture quality, I thought I'd share these photos of a poor
Squirrel hanging out on my back-garden fence during a storm today, using his big bushy tail as cover from the harsh winds, as he hid under it.

I swear in the second Photo he's notices me and is giving me the 'Stink Eye'.

Grim Days.

You know things are bad when you try and drop in on a Vaccination Centre for a much needed Booster Jab only to find the place is locked and there's a sign on the door saying it's closes because of a Covid outbreak.

A Play On Giblets.

Just when you thought it was safe to read my latest Blog entry... along comes another gruesome Zombie Attack.

I drew this nasty Ghoul at the same time as I drew the previous Zombie, and so I like to think he suffered 'Splash Damage' from the same RPG blast that 'Gibbed' the first one. He might even have chunks of Undead Shrapnel stuck in him now (not that he cares very much).

I should point out, since I keep using the phrase... To "Gib" or "Be Gibbed" is an old Gamers saying. It comes from the 1990's and the early Doom games and refers to when someone either blows up an enemy or is blown up themselves in an FPS game. Usually with a Rocket Launcher or Exploding Barrel. I believe it's a play on the word 'Giblets'.

I just thought I should mention it for anyone who didn't know what I was talking about and thought I was maybe talking 'Gib'... berish.

Baking Bad.

I bought myself a fancy big Vegetarian Pizza for the weekend and now I'm having an internal struggle on if I should be evil and put Ham or Bacon on it and make it really yummy...

I mean... who would know, right? (insert evil laugh here).

Dare I?

The Walking Gibbed.

We're already halfway through the first month of 2022, so I think it's about time I posted some new Undead Art and got this year started right...

I wanted this Ghoulish Guy to look really torn up. Like maybe someone had fired an RPG at him or something and he's still walking somehow. Even being blown up hasn't quench his hunger for Human Flesh. Even having chunks of Concrete in his face (or what's left of it) isn't slowing this Walker down anytime soon.

I have to say, one of the few highlights of an otherwise crummy year last year was the nice reaction my Zombie themed artwork got. I thought the genre might have been too played out by now for anyone to really care, but strangely it's some of my most popular output. So a big thank you to those that showed my work some love.

I've got a Zombie Boxset and Zombie Movie coming my way soon for my Birthday this year, so I'm sure after binging those next month, I'll probably be in the mood to do some more Rotten Undead Renderings.

The Man From Nam.

We've had First and Second World War Soldiers... A Boer War Soldier... A couple of modern day British Soldiers... and now today an American G.I. Nam Soldier.

That Time Of Year Again.

Welcome to that really depressing part of the year, when all the decorations have been taken down, and Christmas feels so far away again.

When there's no good food left, and you can't use Xmas\New Year as an excuse to get drunk anymore, not that there's much booze left in the house at this point.

I was walking into town today to do some shopping for the weekend, and as I was crossing the road, I saw a massive pothole with the remains of some small animal smeared around one side. Whatever killed the poor thing must have hit it pretty hard, as the carcass of what was left looked like it had exploded or something. It had truly been 'Gibbed' badly and even more shockingly looked like it was still twitching, even though it couldn't be deader and looked like an old kill.

It was only as I got closer to it, that I realized it was actually just a rolled up grotty piece of dark red tinsel that had got caught on the edge of the pothole blowing in the wind after being run over a million times.

It was the perfect morbid way to say Christmas is dead...

On Point.

What better way to start the year than with this WW1 German Soldier drawing I did over the weekend (because that's a fun and normal way to start the New Year, right?).

I have to confess I did mainly pick this period and look because I really wanted to draw the pointy Moustache and spiked Helmet.
