Crossing No Man's Land.

A brave British WW1 'Tommy' tries to make his way across a hellish Battlefield in this new pin-up.

It's been nice getting to do some more War themed Comic Art again recently. I really did have fun trying to make No Man's Land look as barren and battled-scared as I could.

Nazi Zombie Movies.

Recently been talking to a friend this week about the horror sub-genre that is Nazi Zombie movies, and so I thought I'd post my collection.

I only own a few of these films, to be honest (and one of these films is called Nazi Zombies but only has a single Nazi Zombie in it). But it does seem to be a sub-genre that's getting bigger-and-bigger as the years roll on. Maybe thanks more to modern Video Games.

Zombies popping up in WW2 themed Comic Books is also a pretty big thing right now with Commando Comics and Sgt Rock both battling the Undead recently.

Faceless Soldier.

A Faceless Soldier running across the Battlefield...

I was listening to this depressing Podcast recently about how now Artists in the coming years (especially new younger artists who are just learning their craft in a digital age) are going to have to more-and-more prove their Artwork is their own and not created using AI software by documenting and posting its creation online to prove it's authentic.

And so with that in mind, here's a quick WIP pic of a bit of WW1 themed Artwork I'm currently working on. Drawn as God intended Comics to be drawn... Just good old Pencil on Bristol Board.

28 Days Later Movies.

All the Rage... All four 28 Days Later movies.

I was gonna say Britain's best Zombie series... But now I think about it, there's so few UK Zombie flicks that ever got any sequels, it's kind of a moot point. Apart from 28 Days Later and the Zombie Diaries, I can't think of any others.

Extra Zombie Nerd points for anyone who can name another?

Cactus Halo.

My Old Man Cactus is just a few flowers short of a full Halo.

Toy Skeleton.

Toy Skeleton in extreme close-up.

Last October I photographed a really massive Skeleton, and now this little bony guy.

Zombie Target Practice.

What with Easter just being around the corner (a time period famous for having the power to bring the Dead back to life), getting in some much needed 'Zombie Target Practice' this weekend, like this guy, might not be such a bad idea, Folks.

So Handy.

Just so that we're clear... it's 'Organic Waste' that go in these fancy new little Recycling Bins, right?

Rottenly Good Zombie Fiction.

For those that like to curl up at night with a good rotten read, here is my collection of Zombie Novels.

I find most of the good Zombie Books these days tend to come from the 'Indie Scene' and Smaller Publishers, as I think the Undead might be a bit too gruesome for more mainstream Publishers to handle.

And nobody wants to read Zombie Fiction that lacks bite.

The Screentone Slayer.

Slaying the Living Dead is messy work. Somebody pass this guy a Wet Wipe.

Using Halftones in this latest panel to try and depict a night-time scene and build atmosphere. I've really been enjoying experimenting with Screentones on this new Zombie Comic and seeing the effects you can achieve using them.

I also like the sneaky little 'Biohazard' tattoo behind his ear in this shot.

The Common Zombie.

The Lifespan (or maybe that should be 'Afterlifespan'?) of the common Zombie is not very long and their end is often quick, brutal and cruel, as seen with this unfortunate putrefied fellow.

If you zoom in really close on this particular photo, you can see that I had to perform a delicate brain operation on this poor Zombie... Using Tipp-Ex.

New A3 Lightbox.

Used my Birthday last week as an excuse to upgrade and buy myself a much needed new A3 Lightbox.

It's crazy how thin and lightweight Lightboxes have got in recent years compared to the old bulky wooden box with a bulb ones of the past.

There's even a built in battery so you don't need to plug it in when you're working and you can hold the Artwork in place with little handy magnets. So cool.

The Happy Ghoul.

Look at this cheeky cadaver just living his best Zombie Afterlife, with a smile on his Ghoulish face, and two fists full of warm fresh guts.

Happy Days (of the dead)!

Zombie Manga.

My collection of Undead themed Manga.

I know the Zombie genre has a pretty healthy following over in Japan, although that said, sadly I don't know how much manages to make its way here to the UK. So if I ever spot or hear of one in English, I do try and pick it up.

Since I'm currently using 'Halftones' for my new Zombie Comic Artwork I'm really trying to read as much as I can at the moment for research.

Disheveled Zombie.

This rotten unkempt Ghoul is both a 'greedy guts' and also greedy for guts.

Pencil artwork from my latest go at depicting the Undead.

Finished Zombie Comic Page.

So as to get this year off on the right foot, and hopefully as a taste of things to come in 2026, I thought I'd post my first full finished sequential page today from my upcoming Zombie Comic.

In other words... Much like the Zombie in this scene, I'm gonna 'spill my guts'.

Samesies Samurai.

Notices this cheeky little oddity recently while searching for Vampire flicks on Amazon for my Birthday...

That's gotta be the same stock image just flipped and with hair added, right? Gotta be. Right?

I also really miss the Noughties fascination with having Women battling Monsters while wearing skintight PVC. I mean it's probably not great to move around in while fighting, but at least PVC would maybe put up some kind of resistance to bites from Vampires\Zombies.
