Been watching a lot of old classic horror movies this Christmas and was lucky enough to finally see the 1950's adaptation of 'The Fall Of The House Of Usher' this week. A film I've been wanting to see for a while now as it was filmed 75-years ago in my hometown.
I have to say, I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would, and even prefer it to the much more famous Roger Corman version and really hope someone puts out a copy on physical media someday, so I can own it.
It's always very cool to hear of horror movies that have been filmed locally and I'd love to visit some of the locations in 2026 (Then I can say I've REALLY been to the House Of Usher). According to imdb, the interior shots were done in a Hotel which is about a 20-minute walk from my house.
