I've said it before, and I'll say it again... Summer makes Cactuses do weird things.

At this point, it's starting to look like a strange Alien Life-Form.

Zombie Brain Eaters.

It's been a long time since I've made a 'GIF' from my artwork. So this week I decided to animate an old panel from a one-page strip I did a couple of years ago called 'Zombie With A Pizza Cutter'. A quick comic tale about a malicious Ghoul who goes round attacking his victims with a certain kitchen utensil to get to their delicious Brains (a very 'Grindhouse' kind of idea). And now you can see his quest for yummy gray matter in full motion and colour.

Dalek Vs Cyberman.

It's just not a Comic Con without running into a couple of famous sci-fi celebrities.

Comic Con Attire.

I didn't do any cosplaying but one highlight from the weekend just gone was that I finally had an excuse to wear my Batman t-shirt since it was a Comic Con.

Plus it was also actually sunny for once, so I got to wear my shades, too.

Ready To Fight The Dead.

Had a fun time at Hastings Comic Con this weekend. Hot and sticky, but still fun.

Did I manage to find anything Zombie related to buy, you might ask? Yes... Yes, I did... I got these two very cool badges.

Bubblegum Bride Of Frankenstein.

She's been pencilled... She's been inked... She's been cleaned up and scanned... And now finally she's been coloured, too. 

I wanted to colour her much more traditionally, but at some point her colour palette went from 'classy' to more of a 'Bubblegum Bride Of Frankenstein' kind of look.

The Colour Of Death.

Considering the crazy amount of Zombies I've had to draw over recent months, this is actually the first one I've had a chance to get to colour and I had a lot of fun trying to make him look as gruesome and decayed as I could.

I don't know how many people reading this have had to colour or paint or dress as a Zombie before over the years in their own art projects, but it's tricky, as the first thing you have to decide on is your own Zombie Colour Palette. So with mine, I tried to make my Undead character look drained and saturated. Like death and being outside in the elements all day in bad weather had faded him. I also went for a rotten meat kind of vibe, so you know this guy is decomposing and stinky just by sight.
